After playing an exciting match against FC Dallas earlier in the week to determine who would move on to the Final of the US Open Cup, the Philadelphia Union look to keep their unbeaten streak momentum rolling into their match tomorrow against the Houston Dynamo.  This is the second time they are meeting in the 2014 regular season.  The first match was played at PPL Park in front of a crowd of 17,301 and during a slump for both clubs, which left them both struggling to end a losing streak.

The Union had turned up the pressure in the 2nd half, especially in the 52nd minute when Andrew Wenger had a chance but opted to pass to Conor Casey instead, who miscued a shot which was blocked by Dynamo goalkeeper Tally Hall.  The second chance they had come in the 84th minute when Aaron Wheeler put a flick on a long throw-in from Sheanon Williams, but it got stuck in traffic and was blocked out.

This match also saw the Dynamo with their share of chances, including one which was blocked by Ricardo Clark and another saved by Union Goalkeeper Zac MacMathBrad Davis was also held out of the lineup by Head Coach Dominic Kinnear due to injury.  The Dynamo would also lose Kofi Sarcodie who picked up two yellow cards and was ejected in the 82nd minute.

The Union and Dynamo will have one more meeting this season, after this weekend, when they meet again at PPL Park on September 20th.  Both teams are still in the hunt for a spot in the playoffs, as only five points separate 5th place and 9th place in the conference.  Each team needs three points from this match to help them solidify their place in the postseason.  With only a small number of games left to play, will the Union be able to keep their unbeaten streak, or will the Dynamo turn things around after mediocre play and make a run at their own postseason berth?
