Manchester United Transfer Rumors

Recently, as reported by Goal.com, a deal between Manchester United and Angel Di Maria is soon to be worked out. If true, this will be Louis Van Gaal and United’s third signing during the 2014 summer transfer window.

Van Gaal and United, in an attempt to reclaim dominance within the English Premier League has been active during the transfer window and has been linked to pretty much any top-tier player. For example these are a few players that are linked to a move to Old Trafford: Arturo Vidal, Alexis Sanchez, James Rodriguez, Toni Kroos and Wesley Sneijder to name a few.

Is it possible that Manchester United could get some of these players? Absolutely.

Eliminate Sanchez and Kroos due to their recent signings; the latter have all been linked to the English juggernaut.

Why you may ask? Money. Manchester United has given Van Gaal upwards of £200 million to spend on the transfer window in order to make fans forget all about last year’s debacle with ex-coach David Moyes. Some may say that Moyes needed more time, but I don’t buy it. Moyes was never proven from the beginning and has not managed a team of similar caliber.

Van Gaal is looking to bolster a club that has aging stars. A midfield decimated by age is in need of rejuvenation. Michael Carrick, Ashley Young and Darren Fletcher are not the answer. Moyes did one correct thing during his tenure last season and that was bringing in Juan Mata. Still one of the best midfielders in the game, Mata is able to feed Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie at the front.

Now bring in Di Maria. A talented winger who will be a perfect upgrade for the Red Devils who will likely start as soon as Di Maria lands at Old Trafford. All these transfers are giving fans hope for next seaso,n and I can’t wait to find out what will come next.
